Filezilla 3.0 to an USB portable edition

in 4 for easy steps

Filezilla is one of the best ftp clients and is also free,
easily you can run your favorite ftp client in your USB key

Download your client zip version here

1. selected folder ( lets use for this example  “x:\portablefilezilla”    )

2. Copy x:\portablefilezilla\docs\fzdefaults.xml.example to x:\portablefilezilla\

3. Rename x:\portablefilezilla\fzdefaults.xml.example to fzdefaults.xml

4. Edit the text file x:\portablefilezilla\fzdefaults.xml and loog for the settings
   (don’t forget to save)

   settings:
   search this string
   

<Setting name=“Config Location”>$SOMEDIR/filezilla/</Setting>

Change it to:

<Setting name=“Config Location”>.</Setting>

You are done! enjoy your  FileZilla Portable Edition
